- Compare with Black Friday. Use camelcamelcamel to see what an item cost on 27 November. Boxing Day is not always lower.
- Check delivery dates. Holiday backlogs can stretch shipping into January, so look at the estimated arrival before you pay.
- Check the seller. “Ships from Amazon.ca” usually means a simpler return if something is wrong.
- Buy for a job, not for the discount. The best Boxing Day purchase is one that solves something you noticed over the holidays.

Boxing Day falls on Saturday 26 December 2026. Many retailers run Boxing Week sales through to the new year, so there is no need to rush on the day itself.
